Liminal

I made this inspired by liminal spaces, 2010s internet aesthetics, and various music videos. The background is a direct reference to the windows xp wallpaper and the characters are my own original characters which have existed for a couple years. I wanted to use this as a way to brush up on skills as it is very rare for me to want to create a full illustration with a background. In terms of background practice I wanted this to be an experiment with how much I should render a background to make sure the characters I drew matched the world they existed in. The image was started June 24th, 2025, and finished five days later on June 29th, 2025.
