Heartbreaker Reaper

In this drawing I wanted to challenge myself with a background yet again. I was inspired by the Heartbreaker Reaper because its both a fun design and also I think reaper is hot. Perspective and backgrounds are always the main things I want to improve on in regards to my art journey so every time I do one it’s a kind of skill check for me. I also tried to go beyond my usual lineart + color and rendered this drawing a little bit afterwards. The image was first created February 15th, 2024 and then finished February 20th, 2024.

For this specific drawing- I wanted to show my skill with depicting existing characters outside my usual styles and being able to adapt to their likeness. Also had so much fun with color palette in this one, usually I just try to use the most faithful colors but I wanted to lean into the pinks to create a Valentines day atmosphere.
